Default Icebreaker?

Who is interested in getting together on Thursday night for some food and talk prior to the event kicking off on Friday?

Looks like there's a couple of options within the hotel, and then variety of places near by...

Anyone getting a suite? I can sponsor some wine if we want to do it low key.

I'm interested. I'll be pulling in Thursday evening - not sure what time but I'm hoping to arrive around 6PM. I'm sure I'll be ready for some good food & a cold drink or two after a long drive.

There are a plethora of choices within a mile or two of the hotel. A personal favorite is Sportsman's Grill, which is not a sports bar; it has good American dishes, not overpriced. A group of us who attend Nashcon every year usually wind up there for supper on Friday night. I hope to join you folks on Thursday evening, but failing that, I'll try to see to it you have a map of the Cool Springs Galleria area and the names of some restaurants.

That would be sweet! Though I'm not getting a suite...sorry, couldn't help myself. The wine certainly sounds good though.

Plans are just about finalized, modified my reservation with the info that things will start Friday morning and got three nights at the Nashcon rate. Expect to arrive at the hotel Thursday afternoon so I'll be available for any get together.

The wife and I are leaving at around 4am or 5am on Thursday and should be down there sometime around 4pm ... I'll let you know if we're feeling up to it or not when we get there. I've got Rich's cell number.

I remember this same type of meeting in Richmond for TCI and we went to a sports bar type place and I couldn't hear one word anyone was saying. If we got together in the lobby or something like that, (with no background noise) I would be in better shape .... man, it sucks to get old AFTER being in the Artillery!

HUH?

Did someone say something? Hello? <------ nodding my head a lot! )

Sounds good. My friend and I are visiting Chickamauga that day but I'm hoping we can get back to the hotel in time to get together with everyone. Please leave word at the desk if you go out from the hotel. Thanks.

The car has been checked and gassed up and I'm packing my bags tonite. Will be hitting the road tomorrow after work, plan to get halfway to Chickamaugua Tuesday night then arrive there shortly before noon on Wednesday. I plan to spend the rest of Wednesday at Chickamaugua and will be at the Best Western Battlefield Inn in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga on Wednesday night.

Thursday I plan to stop at Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge on the way up to Nashville.

Expect to arrive at the Cool Springs Marriot around supper time so if an icebreaker is set up leave a message for me at the desk.
